Last month I met up with Darrelle and Rich on Darrelle’s family farm just outside of Toronto. The landscape of this farm is so beautiful. As soon as I arrived I saw why they wanted to do their pictures here!

I just got home last night from 10 wonderful days in Italy. I went over to shoot Sara & Alessandro’s wedding in Carpi, a town just outside of Modena. For a few days before and a few days after I spent my time exploring some of Italy. I feel so inspired by the love this beautiful country showed me. The people, the sights, the food. I could go on and on but for now just a brief summery as I saw it with my iPhone. Check out my Instagram feed for more of my adventures.
To say this photo session is close to my heart would be an understatement. It combines one of my favourite people with my beloved Vancouver. This view of Downtown, Stanley Park, and the North Shore, my opinion, is one of the most gorgeous vistas out there.
Here is one frame from the engagement session I shot Tuesday night in Toronto’s Riverdale neighbourhood. We started out at Riverdale Park and, judging by the dark skies overhead, I knew we only had a few minutes. When the skies did open up, the folks at the Rooster Coffee House on Broadview were kind enough to let us shoot in their shop and take shelter from the thundershowers. I was actually kind of excited that it rained. It gave me the chance try some new things and experiment a little. While playing around trying to get this shot through the cafe window, a streetcar happened to come by. I think it adds a certain “Toronto-ness” to this image.
