One Year Ago Today

One year ago today I launched this blog. Happy Birthday Blog! It has also been one year and 10 days since my last day at a job I hated. A job that left me emotionally bankrupt and made it hard for me to recognize myself. As bad as it was, I am thankful for that job. I am thankful because it pushed me. Challenge precipitates change.

That is all in the past and a lot has happened for me and my career in one year. Everyday I am reminded of how lucky I am to have had the courage to follow my heart and do what makes me truly happy. I am also luckier than words can describe to have the support of those who love me and believe in me. Thank you to all my wonderful clients for inviting me into your lives and brightening mine.

India | A Quick Teaser

After an amazing couple of weeks and a fantastic wedding, I made it back from India. I had an incredible time and can’t wait to share some pictures with you.  Here is one I took my first night in Fort Kochi.

Out of the Office | India Here I Come

Hello Interweb enthusiasts.  Just wanted to let you know that I am heading off to India for Vishnuka and Ruban’s fabulous wedding and a little R&R with my good friend Debra.  I will be out of the office and away from my iPhone (yikes!) from May 1st to 20th. I will be checking my email from time to time. Please be patient, I will respond, it just may take a few days.

And because no blog post is complete without a picture, here are two of my favourites from my last trip to India.

Stephanie Lettre - awesome!! i hope you’re having a ball! ;)

You are invited to my wedding…in India!

I love when brides send me a copy of their wedding invitation. For starters, I appreciate beautiful stationery, but I also like receiving an invitation because it is not always around the day of the wedding for me to photograph. I think it is important to have some pictures of the gorgeous invitation that you spent hours making or mulling over the designs.

This one is particularly special to me. Not only because it was made in India, but because it is for a wedding IN India! In just a few short weeks I will be flying to India for Vishnuka and Ruban’s big day. Stay tuned for more on this. Happy Tuesday!
