Tatiana & Kevin | Urban Engagement Photography

Outdoor engagement portraits in Toronto in December can be a bit tricky! That is unless of course you are looking to model your new scarf and hat and only want me to see your nose. Tatiana and Kevin were originally thinking of the beautiful old buildings of the University of Toronto campus as a backdrop but since it was -10°C plus a windchill we had to get creative. We started our shoot in the upper level of the Eaton Centre and then wandered through the underground maze of Downtown Toronto popping up in various foyers and atriums. We then headed to Union Station and finished off the shoot on the platform where we got some of my favourites.

These two are so adorable and I had so much fun hanging out and snapping pics. Their love for each other is infectious. They each have an ear-to-ear perma-grin which made my job so easy. The wedding is next December in Barbados so I don’t think the cold should be a problem!;) Congratulations to you both! You make a beautiful couple!

Doe & Jenna Engagement | Toronto Engagement Photographer

One thing of the things I love about being a photographer is that it has allowed me to reconnect with many old friends. Doe and I worked together in the same biochemistry lab at UBC back when we were in undergrad. Through the magic of Facebook we have managed to keep loose tabs on each others lives the last few years. When I discovered she was engaged I was really happy for her.  When I had a chance to meet her wonderful fiancée, Jenna, and they told me they wanted me to be their wedding photographer I was elated.

For their engagement shoot we went to the Claireville Conservation Area. This beautiful 2100 acre park, just outside of Toronto, holds a special place in their hearts so it was a natural choice for engagement pictures. It is where they had their first kiss and where they walk their two dogs, Juno and Clemintine, every day.

Thanks for being so much fun to photograph. I can’t wait for your wedding next summer in Toronto’s Distillery District.

Hilary & Effi | Toronto Engagement Photographer

Toronto has had such warm and beautiful fall this year. I have really enjoyed being able to do so many outdoor photo shoots.

Hilary and Effi are too cute for words. They laughed and joked throughout our entire session last week. I am really excited about their wedding next June.

Here is a helpful hint to all brides-to-be: book your bridal make-up trial the same day as your engagement shoot to make good use of your lovely make-up. Hilary had her make-up done at The Spa Suite at Iam Yoga at Yonge and Bloor.

Effi - I love the pictures!
It was a lot of fun that afternoon and Jennifer made it so easy to be in front of a camera. You are very personable and great to work with.
The colours seem to pop out and each picture tells a story.
Thank you. Can’t wait for the wedding!

Lawrie & Julio | Engagement Pictures in Port Credit

I love engagement photo sessions.  It gives me a chance to get to know the couple, and it gives the couple a good chance to get to know me.  Engagement photos are also a great opportunity to get more comfortable in front of the camera and to get used to some weirdo (that’s me;)) taking pictures of you and your sweetie kissing!   Lawrie and Julio are getting married in March and I’m really looking forward to their wedding.  For their engagement shoot we met up in Port Credit and wandered through the Richard’s Memorial Park and the Rhododendron Gardens.  We also visited the Starbucks in Port Credit where Lawrie and Julio first met… awwww!

Karen & Paul Trash the Dress

Karen is now officially the craziest girl I know! She jumped in the pond at the Brickworks on a very frigid day in October…but we will get to that part later. Before she trashed her dress, I joined Karen and her husband Paul for a portrait session in her wedding dress. Karen and Paul got married in Vegas about a month and a half ago. They aren’t exactly the most traditional of couples so they wanted some unique pictures of themselves and Karen’s rockin’ red shoes. Karen and Paul are wonderful and so much in love. I had such a fantastic time with them. Here are a few of my favourites from the shoot. Thank you for looking!

Katrina - I can’t tell you how much I love these photos. LOVE THESE PHOTOS. Clearly the subjects are stunning, but what is also stunning is how you captured their personalities on film. AMAZING.
