Doe & Jenna Engagement | Toronto Engagement Photographer

One thing of the things I love about being a photographer is that it has allowed me to reconnect with many old friends. Doe and I worked together in the same biochemistry lab at UBC back when we were in undergrad. Through the magic of Facebook we have managed to keep loose tabs on each others lives the last few years. When I discovered she was engaged I was really happy for her. When I had a chance to meet her wonderful fiancée, Jenna, and they told me they wanted me to be their wedding photographer I was elated.

For their engagement shoot we went to the Claireville Conservation Area. This park holds a special place in their hearts so it was a natural choice for engagement pictures. It is where they had their first kiss and where they walk their two dogs, Juno and Clemintine, every day.

Thanks for being so much fun to photograph. I can’t wait for your wedding next summer.

Family Photos in High Park | Toronto Family Photographer

Last week I met Hilary, Savio, and little Isaac in High Park for a family portrait session. We had a beautiful warm sunny day. The weather here in Toronto has been so lovely it did not feel like an outdoor shoot in November at all. Isaac is so cute and it is clear his Mommy and Daddy adore him. I love how you can see his two bottom teeth is this next picture.

On a side note, if you are a regular reader of my blog you may notice that my last post was also shot in High Park and also included a Hilary. This was a complete coincidence. Perhaps ladies named Hilary like High Park? Who knows?! :)

Hilary & Effi | Toronto Engagement Photographer

Hilary and Effi are too cute for words. They laughed and joked throughout our entire session last week. Toronto has had such warm and beautiful fall this year. I have really enjoyed being able to do so many outdoor photo shoots. Here is a helpful hint to all brides-to-be: book your bridal make-up trial the same day as your engagement shoot to make good use of your lovely make-up. Hilary had her make-up done at The Spa Suite at Iam Yoga at Yonge and Bloor.

CapaciTea | Healthy Kids International | Sick Kids Foundation

A little while back I had the pleasure of covering CapaciTea, a wonderful charity event for Healthy Kids International. CapaciTea was created to inspire young women and offer the opportunity to participate in a number of once-in-a-lifetime mentorship experiences graciously donated by a variety of Canada’s most influential women and their organizations. The event was hosted by MTV’s Jessi Cruickshank and was catered by the Windsor Arms Hotel.

Family Portraits in Port Credit | Toronto Family Photographer

I was so happy when Tonya and Charles told me they wanted to book a family shoot. I had so much fun photographing their wedding in Niagara this past September. It was great to have a chance to hang out with them and their two wonderful children again. For this family portrait session we went to Jack Darling Memorial Park to make use of some of the great fall colours. We found this particularly vibrant red bush on the main street in Port Credit.
